Only the Two of Us

I do not know what is changing

in your look

when we get closer

until fusion

your look
seems hungry for the new
it attracts me
towards a new experience

we seem to pass too suddenly
we soar together
in this merry-go-round
of innocent pleasure

do you know what I like
but never offer everything
you are the sincere woman who hides mysteries
when love laughs with us

we don’t need improvisations
every love affair is a new story
which always ends differently
and just like any good work done

we start it all over again
for countless times

Time as a Memory

The ship of time sank

between two defective minutes

the temptation of hope hums a song

the waves of the impossible

caress the wreck of time

which is agonizing now

crucified between two worlds

kiss without words

attraction and affection
make me become restless
and unpredictable
the kiss
surprises you
and you seem distressed
and the bunches of happiness
we offer to each other
slip through our lips
they intertwine
they weave
and they start to ignore
the words that
cannot be spoken anymore

GOLD!: The Kincaid Saga, Book 1, by Thomas Greenbank. #Book #Review, by Mihai Brinas. Five Stars.

GOLD!: The Kincaid Saga, Book 1, by Thomas Greenbank. Five Stars.

#Book #Review, by Mihai Brinas.

At the time of this story, gold mining had influenced the history and economy of Western Australia.

In the golden fields, some people became rich, and others lost everything, including their own lives.

The mirage of gold has always attracted adventurers, and the inevitable arrival of new settlers has generated violent clashes with the indigenous inhabitants of the earth.

The first serious confrontation between the two brothers Malcolm and Jamie takes place because of a woman, Rachel.

Jamie and Rachel love each other, move in together, and Malcolm seems to accept the new situation. Not long after, a strange physical encounter takes place between Rachel and Malcolm. I agree that this should remain their secret. Rachel knows Jamie can kill if he finds out the truth.

Things get complicated. Following the rape, a child is born. The secret becomes even more pressing, it can become an obsession that changes destinies.

The story progresses, generating new and new intrigues. They solve some events, others become even more complicated. Everything in an alert rhythm sprinkled with dialogues between precisely outlined characters.

The author of the book has researched the specific world of gold mining. I realize Mr. Thomas Peter Greenbank has had long discussions with specialists in this field.

This family saga has an unpredictable and disturbing ending. It is inappropriate to say the end because we understood it to us that this story will continue.

We are waiting.

Dane Thorburn and the City of Lost Souls by Matt Galanos Book Review by Mihai Brinas Five Stars.

Dane Thorburn and the City of Lost Souls by Matt Galanos Book Review by Mihai Brinas  Five Stars.

Dane Thorburn returns to another fast-paced fantasy adventure.

Rewarded for thwarting the evil Firelord Raegan’s plan to kill the king and take power for himself, Dane and his friend Will Hevenshire joined the elite ranks of Brindabeare’s Royal Knights.

During a journey, Firelord Raegan’s forces, the so-called Black Knights, attack Princess Vanessa and her escort.“Sourced by their Lord from deep within the Fire Element” the heat pulsed in the Black Knights, their power increased, and their appearance changed, their armor and faces turned black.

Dane, who is part of the escort, is arrested for the charge of treason and conspiracy to help the kidnapping of Princess Vanessa. It will be brought before the Brindabeare Council. Hanging is the punishment for traitors.

Dane survives as innocent. He also has to save the life of Princess Vanessa, who was rumored to be taken to The City of Lost Souls. Dormant and unused for centuries, the City of Lost Souls is a place from which escape is impossible and death inevitable.

The narrative is rich in strange and dangerous people and places. These places are full of magic, of descriptions that enchant you and terrify you. The dialogue has its well-defined place in this creation. The story takes us into a world where you don’t know if you have to walk with fear or with the courage of the knight who has to save the princess.

Matt Galanos transports us into a world of unforgettable characters. If you let your imagination run wild, go through these realms of storytelling, you have the chance to understand a little of what wingless flight means.

Dear _____, Lovely, Lovely Soul: Unsent Letters and Forgotten Forget Me Nots by Marc L. Militello Book Review, by Mihai Brinas. 5 Stars.

Dear _____, Lovely, Lovely Soul: Unsent Letters and Forgotten Forget Me Nots by Marc L. Militello

Book Review, by Mihai Brinas.   5 Stars.

"This book of unsent letters written in poetic monologue is dedicated to all those who dwell in their sadness.”

I leave this image behind and follow the author. I do not regret, because in a short time, I taste love, and I see the light.

"While its warmth might get cold, its light still shines bright"

In the center of my attention is also revealed a complex notion: The reason.

“understand that sometimes things do happen for a reason”

These notions, love, light, the path to follow, the reason, are pretentious and have a special sensitivity.

The wisdom of philosophers polished them, kept them in places of religion, and comforted them with the imagination of writers.

Marc Militello knows what to do with these notions, respects them, and tries to see in their essence. Writers see some things that others do not see. That's why they write.

“Follow the path until the  light is within your grasp Someone once taught me temptation and I tempted fate.”

When the meeting between path and fate takes place, we must find an answer. Am I the one who found the way? Or is it the path that chose me?

Strange and unscrupulous, sometimes love can turn into loneliness.

“Be gentle and fair this night my love open your mind and heart to others beauty”.

“I fear for myself, I fear of myself

The road I am to travel is a long one.”

Poetry is a literary genre that is very difficult to fit into a pattern. In this collection, we can talk about the sincerity of the author. And if you mean sincerity when you write, you think of originality.

“I shall prevail.”

Shadows of Faerie by Martin Owton. #Book #Review, by Mihai Brinas. Five Stars.

Shadows of Faerie by Martin Owton.

#Book #Review, by Mihai Brinas. Five Stars.

A fantasy story, traversed from one end to the other by deep remarks about a feeling that is very difficult to understand: Love.

"My dad came from somewhere else. Not another country, but another world."

“To understand what is happening, you need to understand the land itself.”

Charlie Somes' story begins with the murder of his female roommate. During the police investigation, Charlie spends more and more time with Detective Wickens. With his paranormal abilities, he helps the detective to solve other crimes.

I know things about people as soon as I touch them. The things that really matter to them, things they don't tell people.”

The closeness between the two becomes more and more intimate.

“I owe you dinner, Charlie. What are you doing tonight?”

"Had a feeling I knew how she intended the evening to go, but what was going to happen when I touched her?"

Charlie really wants to live a love story, but his paranormal traits overwhelm him, inhibit all his male impulses in front of a woman.

“I remembered the one and only time I’d been naked with a girl She was very experienced At her thought of 'now he'll never forget me', I realised I'd been collected and lost my erection completely.”

Detective Wickens doesn't understand Charlie's feelings, ignores any emotional feelings, and is only interested in sex. Something fast, so just for fun and pleasure.

“Would you be able to read my mind if I kissed you?”

“I'm getting everything. Every memory of every man you've ever kissed."

If I have the impression that I want to pay as much as possible to have paranormal abilities, here is a story in which a man who possesses such a thing proves to me that he would do anything to be normal, to be able to love. To be able to caress a woman without being destroyed by the image of other men who did the same thing in the past.

It is extraordinary that the collision between two realms, shadows, horror, raids of mysterious creatures, crimes, goodness, all revolve around a hero who wishes to be able to love and be loved.

“I think that was the moment that she stopped being Det. Sergeant Wickens and became Sharon.”

Here is the talent of the author Martin Owton, who through his creation, determines you to ask questions. Does Sharon have sincere feelings for Charlie? Or does she want to have help in her work to solve crimes through sexual intercourse? And when you ask yourself questions about a book and read to get answers, it means we're talking about a good book.

Later, Sharon will give us a short answer.

“You're a nice guy Charlie, but I'm not looking for a relationship.”

Michelle is the one who brings peace to Charlie.

“The memory of Michelle's kisses left me with an inner glow”

An appearance that fits perfectly with the other characters.

Michell is the one who chooses to do it with her fingers, which Charlie can't do. A well-deserved award for a story hero.

“Relax,” she whispered and slid her thumbs into the waist-band of my boxers.I held my breath as she slipped them down.

It doesn't take much imagination to go through this whole action-packed story as if you were watching a movie production.

When God Says No, by Reina Sasaki. Five Stars. Book Review, by Mihai Brinas.

When God Says No, by Reina Sasaki. Five Stars.
Book Review, by Mihai Brinas.

'When God Says No' is the story of two characters, Rie and Ryoka, who have become emotionally dependent on each other.
Although at first, you think Ryoka is the one who brings Rie ashore, later you realize that they are both about to drown because they are pulled down by the secrets of their past. They only escape by supporting each other.
Later, the friendship is ready to turn into something else.
“Until that night, I had never known what girls could do for one another when their feelings transformed beyond friendship.
“We are friends,” she said, “let’s not ruin that, deal?”
Rie is a complex character. Rie's inner uneasiness is like the sea in a storm, which fascinates and frightens her at the same time. Rie is drawn into the seawater, the waves erase her tracks from the beach, and she seems to find no way back.
"the sea ablaze like William Blake's illustration of hell. I paused over the compacted sands when the calm tide washed up toward my feet, wiping away my footprints"
"The image of the beach came to me, its water, and the roaring waves, the place where I tried to disappear"
Loneliness, isolation, self-doubt, refusal to have friends, are the clear signs that led her to hell. From there she was taken out by Miss Himura and Ryoka.
It is the Bible that tells Rie something about loneliness.
"I reread it over and over until pain began to throb in my chest. The pain transformed into a fear that I had never known existed within me.
The fear of being alone. "
Rie loves and respects the Bible and the church, knows and understands Confucius, so from all the struggles that take place in her, Rie chooses life, thus proving that she is wise.
In Reina Sasaki's work, there is a connection between the Bible, Confucius, and the essential characters. This connection is wisdom.
Bible Proverbs
"Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you. "
Confucius
"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."
Well-defined characters are placed with talent in a story created with intelligence and sensitivity using a personal style.
A book I will remember with pleasure.

 IN #AUTHOR, #BOOK, #CREATIVE #WRITER, #LITERATURE, #READING, #REVIEW

Poetry is such a subjective literary genre that it’s often difficult to reach a conclusion about whether a collection is very good, difficult, obscure, or any of a mixture of reactions.

This assortment is by a poet whose first language is Romanian: whether English is his second language is unclear, but the standard of its use is higher than some I’ve experienced from native speakers.

All poems in this anthology are presented entirely in lower case and without punctuation, which makes them open to a number of interpretations. There are a couple of editing errors, but that’s hardly surprising, and they’re too few to be a cause of concern.

The emotional content is both wide and profound. I was moved by many of the pieces, entertained by all and amused by a few. This is poetry that speaks to the heart, that crawls under the skin, and insinuates itself into the mind and soul.

It’s not easy. But neither is it consciously difficult. It seems genuine and honest, and tastes authentic. Glad I read this.

 the tightrope walker

the tightrope walker on a wire

today is the train

never to arrive

to its destination

he used to see the safety net

as an intertwining of knots

leading to so many directions

each direction with its own destiny

turn that way

or the other

between the rooftops of two worlds

this is how he saw it on that final day

the one acting as a tightrope walker

and the one everybody knew

and named as a clown
