sufferance
caresses
of the hands that wander
on your body
make me forget
the wickedness around
i can gather from you
contagious love
that i keep
in my cupped hands
which then i sip
to get sick
and to suffer from love
of the hands that wander
on your body
make me forget
the wickedness around
i can gather from you
contagious love
that i keep
in my cupped hands
which then i sip
to get sick
and to suffer from love

Poetry Review: Invitation to Poetry, Mihai Brinas
Rating:
While I have plenty of poetry books that
grace my shelf I don’t think they could hold a match to the beauty that
lies within these words. They are powerful and bold. Remarkable and
soft. They will forever be ingrained with me. And I’m so please that I
was able to read it.
The synopsis was not lying when it says
that this book will reveal fantastic feelings. It is with a guarantee
that one or more of these poems will leave an impact on you.
I personally recommend reading the words
aloud. I found that while they strong in written form being able to
taste them as they leave your tongue leaves and everlasting effect of
harmony on your aura.

Perils of Social Media Engagement
I read an interesting article with the title 'Perils of Social Media Engagement' signed by Stuart Aken. With his consent, we took part of this article.
Okay, I shouldn’t have done it. I know. But, sometimes, my passion for an issue overcomes my internal common-sense policeman and I get involved.
A short while ago, I posted a Tweet relating to Climate Change, an issue dear to my heart long before I joined Greenpeace in the 1980s. It reached some deniers on Twitter; I received a number of responses and, not surprisingly, a few insults from that particular group of nay-sayers.
And I responded.
I know.
I should’ve let them get on with their fear-driven tirades; ignored them. But, buried deep within me dwells an eagerness to employ reason, and I allowed it out for a few moments. I answered their objections to my post more in hope than expectation. The process grabbed my attention for longer than intended, resulting in numerous arguments and counter-arguments. I must’ve spent a good two hours in the involvement.
And that, really, is the point of this post. As writers, we’re often passionate about any number of issues. My own list includes the environment, injustice, organised religion, inequality, the current Brexit chaos in UK, and politics, among others. I generally address one or more of these in my stories, as most of us do, tackling themes that fire our spirits and motivate our writing. In short, expressing our opinions via characters and themes.
But it’s a mistake to get involved with such issues on social media.

Beautiful words.Dianne rated it 5 Stars.
Beautiful words, carefully woven together into a tapestry of thoughts, emotions and even whimsy, INVITATION TO POETRY by Mihai Brinas is a collection of brief poems that are meant to be savored and felt within.
Poems are not meant to be raced through, they are meant to be re-read, because each time, each poem will resonate differently. This isn’t high school poetry to be dissected until you find the “correct meaning,” these are meant to be enjoyed just for the love of words and reading.
Mihai Brinas has a gift that is simple, yet beautiful. Each poem is light, lyrical and I think one of my favorites may be “let there be rain,” appropriately a poem about poetry, or the lack of it.
If you haven’t read poetry lately, perhaps it’s time to change that and, as the title suggests, Mihai Brinas has extended a thoughtful INVITATION TO POETRY for all readers.
I received a complimentary copy from Mihai Brinas!

time in unequal installment payments
when silence abandons it
the pain held in captivity
escapes from confinement
all over the body
it crushes him from inside
just like serrated wheels
and the body becomes drunk
from so much suffering
it is the moment from which
the hours are not equal anymore

the sadness of books
i like
to enter sometimes
the town library
to stroke the books with my look
to touch them with my hand
while walking among the shelves
to feel their smell
and read one book or another
i leave taking with me
the sadness of so many books left unread

rated it 5 Invitational Stars*****
A really beautifully written quick read.
First of all the title of the book 'Invitation to the poetry' does the justice with the different themes of the book. This book is not overly written with so many big words and single theme.
If you wanna dive into poetry, this is the book for you.
The books talk about so many things and and touches every emotions. Some of the poems seemed to close to my life that I had to read it twice. All the poems are so beautifully written and the emotions and depth put in the words are so amazing.
The writer did a really great job I'm going into the depths while keeping it simple and it was so easy to connect with all the poems.
I have so many favourite poems, now I am dying to have a physical copy of the book.
Favorite poems :-
The kiss
With envy about flying
Let there be rain
Hidden truths
Discrete inspiration
The healed healer
Time in unequal instalment payments
Searching
The road
Personal problems
Misfortune
It is late for dreams
Basically all 64 poems are so great and beautiful but those are mine favourite.
A highly highly recommendable book.

Thoughts That Bring Us Closer

I loved it (as suspected).
Thoughts that bring us closer.
Putting reality into beautiful (sometimes heartbreaking) words.
I will never be able to write poetry because I do not have the strength in me to share my deepest darkest feelings
I find that poetry is like music it is a real rawform of how we feel and just pulls out all of our emotions
good poetry and good music go hand-in-hand which is why I think that if done correctly they are the most beautiful forms of work
When reading a poem I see their past to the present the future the reality and what they wish to be the reality, the fantasies of the world and all within a few lines.
Within a few line I get to know the person so deeply and so broken that you feel this instant bond with the writer or the artist.
Finding the comparisons between everyone’s life but the hard things that make us not want to share those feelings and putting them down to words so other people say yes this is how I feel exactly how I feel good or bad
in his collection there is one about marriage and “the ring” and it’s just so beautiful that you think he is the most emotional person that he’s in love so deeply but then there are other poems that show how broken and alone he feels and you think... I don’t know.
I can never reveal that much of myself it is too deep and raw and beautiful that it hurts. That people are able to go through the same things but put it down in words and make a bad situation seem beautiful.
