I want to give others what I wish I had had when I took on this role 20 years ago. Partially to help you see what you will encounter and how to handle the issues you will face.

Why I wrote this

The book lays out what is involved when you are a CEO, which is radically different from any other management job. It does this in large part by talking through how I navigated the challenges and opportunities growing Windward. And rare in a business book, it is brutally honest about the mistakes I made. Giant mistake after giant mistake – which occurs at every company, but is rarely talked about.

There’s a dearth of information about this job. And there’s no way to prepare yourself for the role of CEO. So new CEOs are thrown to the sharks with no preparation.

I want to give others what I wish I had had when I took on this role 20 years ago. Partially to help you see what you will encounter and how to handle the issues you will face. Equally important, to let you know when you’ve made a number of giant mistakes and the future looks bleak and you aren’t sure you will make it – hey that’s normal.

-- David Thielen

About This Book

  • Feeling lost as the CEO not sure what to do and what’s coming next? This is the life raft you need.
  • What exactly is the person in the corner office thinking about? This will take you inside their world.
  • Want to learn how to be a great CEO? There is no way to train for that job. But this book helps
  • Occasionally a startup grows to great success with no funding. Occasionally. Read how this one pulled it off.

If you are a CEO, read this tonight. It’s that valuable. If you’re going to be a CEO, read it before you start. If you report to a CEO, read it to understand the world your boss sees, providing you an understanding that will help you manage up. -DT-

Light

Have not hidden my eyes

from any sunrise

I hide my eyes

every sunset instead

I can hear the light crumble

when the night falls

I can listen to it fall into pieces

that is why I avert my eyes

I am trying to collect

the remains of the light

just like a child

collecting from the dust

shards of colored glass

fantasizing they are precious stones

Hidden Truths

An undignified thought is hurting me

as I see the petrified look

cold as a stepping-stone

the moments are dashing all over the body

faster and faster

from extinct stars descending into stairs

to lighten me

and all around me

I hear wings

wings of the birds of prey

I cannot see what needs to be seen

as the giant moment is already beside me

and with a last move

it steps into the truth and holds it under its foot

so I can’t see it

 the poet used to go

to the beach

every morning

the curious people asked him

what he was doing on the beach

the poet answered

that he was building

a sand fortress

a fortress they wondered

laughing to themselves

one day though

the poet returned home

sad

the sea

might have knocked down his building

the others thought

the guards wouldn’t let me

enter the fortress

the poet said

while just like in a sandglass

his fingers let

the last grains of sand

The Drawing

In this intricate tapestry of words, the tale speaks of persecution, longing, and resilience. It unveils the profound struggle of a condemned soul and the enduring power of hope amidst the darkest of circumstances.

No one remembered who first said the woman was a witch. What is certain is that this was quickly transmitted by word of mouth, and in the end, the woman came before the judge. The rumors had ignited so much that everyone was afraid of her strength. She had chains on both her hands and feet. And because it was rumored that she did the spells with the help of her eyes, she had a steel mask fixed on her face, attached to the back of his head with three locks. The mask had only a narrow opening in front of its mouth.

She was sentenced to life in prison. Will she be able to live in those conditions?

This is how other witches will leave these places. He had lost track of time. With just a few rags on it, barefoot, it won’t survive in this cell. He had learned that darkness does exist. It’s a notion you can’t describe in words. You discover it exists because loneliness has a unique way of tormenting people.

He kissed a wish on its wings like two lips that did not say words. He left desire free in the vortex of chance and good inspiration.

For a few days, he probably walked through the wheat fields because he returned smelling of fresh bread.

There is a labyrinth of atonement, a form of transition between two states; it is only a step, the most challenging step, which desire has finally made. In the end, the passion never came back. He got where he needed to go.

Several people entered the cell. One of them addressed him, saying that he was the prison director. The law obliges him to ask every convict to say something he wants.

He didn’t think long and said he wanted a few pieces of cardboard and charcoal. He would like to draw. It was not long before he received what he had asked for.

Only a few days passed when cries were heard in prison. Alarm sirens began to sound, and the howls and barks of the nearly fifty-trained dogs.

The witch had escaped. In her cell, they found a window near the wall, cardboard on which was drawn with charcoal.

Nothing was heard about the witch’s existence. And no one has seen her since.

No one has seen the judge before. In his bedroom, they found,d a dead man near the wall, the cardboard on which was drawn with charcoal. His face could not be seen because a steel mask was attached to his face; fastened to the back of his head with three locks.

One night stand

Ethan, a charismatic gentleman with a twinkle in his eye, sat at a table in the corner, enjoying his meal with quiet delight. Across the room, Sarah, a captivating woman with an air of mystery, indulged in the aromas of the culinary masterpiece in front of her. Their eyes met, and at that moment, an undeniable connection erupted between them.

Curiosity and especially desire flowed through their veins as they exchanged knowing glances. Without a word, they recognized the flame waiting to be lit. As their eyes locked, they understood – a passionate affair was destined to unfold.

With hearts racing and minds consumed by curiosity, Ethan and Sarah headed for the exit. They called a taxi.

Their journey led them to a secluded hotel, hidden away from the city's prying eyes. Inside the elevator, a charged silence surrounded them, punctuated only by exciting touches.

The hotel room, a sanctuary of passion waiting to be awakened, became a canvas on which the two painted their intimate desires. In the soft glow of the bedside lamp, they shed inhibitions, guided only by instinct and an unbridled hunger for pleasure.

Time stood still as their bodies joined, their souls dancing to a slow tune. The exploration of each other's desires, an intimate conversation with whispers and sobs, filled the room with an intoxicating symphony of pleasure. At that moment, they existed only for each other, freed from the outside world's realities.

As the night wore on, their connection deepened and the boundaries of their physical union blurred into an emotional intimacy that exceeded expectations. They opened their souls, sharing long-dormant secrets and dreams.

In the morning, reality knocked gently on the door. Ethan and Sarah exchanged bittersweet smiles, knowing their fleeting affair had ended.

With a final friendly touch, they said goodbye, carrying the adventure memory in their hearts.

They were fine, but their paths were different.

Goodbye?

A mathematician would say the odds are close to zero. Improbable. A writer leaves the answer to the reader's choice.

The Misfit Crew by Aimee C. Trafton (Author)

The Misfit Crew by Aimee C. Trafton (Author)

A book review by Brinas

About the author.

Aimee C. Trafton is an author, writer, poet, blogger, and eLearning Specialist from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Her children’s book, Amber Tambourine and the Land of Laugh-a-Lot, was published in May 2021 (Austin Macauley Publishers USA). It won a Literary Titan Gold Book Award, and was a finalist for the Reader’s Choice Book Award. Her personal essays and stories have appeared in the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, Autism Parenting Magazine, and her blog, Life Lessons for My Daughter.

The Misfit Crew is part of The Shortish Project, celebrating the short novel at theshortishproject.com

The darkness has neither soul and cannot feel pain. The tragic delirium collapsed in the fissure between life and death. Like an incomplete sculpture, my thoughts appeared to fade away like a whisper.

The days resemble a dark, short-sleeved, worn-out cloak.

The tentacles of instinct cling with fear in the sunrise. Anxiety and sadness wash over me as I struggle. I gather the rays of hope, believing that each new day brings a chance for change.

The story begins abruptly with an email to her deceased mother. Whenever Bay experiences a moment of joy or is in an attractive place, she regrets that her mother cannot be present. Anxiety replaces life. Voices and demons overwhelm her. By day, in the closed space of school hours, or at night in the arms of insomnia and delirium, Bay sinks deeper and deeper into herself.

Through the uncurtained windows, something is evident. The intelligence to understand the problem you have, the courage to fight, and the determination to ask others for help.

And yes, it was about love.

“Come on, little turtle. The passion I feel for him now is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. It is electrifying and dizzying and threatens to overwhelm me. Only this time I give in to it. He runs his fingers through my hair. And I feel something I haven’t felt in a long time: safe. The voices in my head are suddenly quiet.”

“Bay discovers that you can never really escape your old life, and that problems will follow you wherever you go – especially when you don’t ask for help.”

It’s lovely to see flowers in every window as if to prove that love can exist even in the darkest of places.

A flock of birds flew there. There is a rustling of leaves—carved wood noise.

Birds sit on my eyelids, allowing me to see the beauty of the earth’s blooms.

I feel so alive! I’m still here.

I read through this story with much interest, which took shape, meaning, and depth in my mind.

This story’s delicate and carefully controlled emotion captivated me with its spontaneity of reflexive gesture.

Aimee C. Trafton achieved this through intense passion, talent, and originality.

GWYDION by Robert J Dornan (Author)

GWYDION by Robert J Dornan (Author)

A book review by Brinas

"My name is Robert J Dornan or Bob and I am living my passion by writing novels. I do my best to create unforgettable characters in stories you will treasure and read again.

On a personal note, I am a heart transplant recipient who wakes up every morning adoring life and appreciating every molecule of love.

On her sixteenth birthday, Princess Poppi receives an extraordinary gift from the castle gardener that will change the lives of her entire family and hand her an astonishing power."

He wanted to write his novel about princess adventure, mystery, kingdoms, and castles. He has been struggling for years in the dark and forgotten corners of the uncontrollable heart.

Little did he know that his life would become a chapter in his writing story.

He was writing feverishly, but as the days passed, it seemed that the end of the story would never be near enough. He had reached a point where he had almost given up all hope of seeing his book completed. Then something extraordinary happened.

He awoke from a dream with a sudden burst of life and love of life.

Bob had been blessed with a new heart.

As the author continued to write, he felt a new sense of freedom. He was no longer held back by his heart condition and could explore his ideas without fear. He had been given a second chance at life and was determined to make the most of it.

An exploration of the human condition, the limits of mortality, and the fantasy world the author has created in his mind.

Overwhelmed by a strange mixture of fantasy and reality, the author hopes readers will appreciate his story.

As he lovingly crafted the story, the author could feel the characters come to life on the page.

The princess is now by his side, lighting his path with her ray of light and hope. Both are carried on the back of the giant bird. They fly over the alternate world, and the bird tells them about the stubborn prince and the evil wizard. They laugh together as the beautiful scenery of the fairytale land can be seen below them.

A fairytale land where you want to live forever.

The story unfolds before our eyes and imagination, written with attention to detail and polished words.

Bob enters the enchanted clearing surrounded by trees. He sees the princess on a bench in the garden behind the stables, playing with the doll's blonde hair.

She is guarded by giant birds and the fiercest guardian, the massive boulder with a red line painted on it.

Bob is now walking on the soft grass, once a mud puddle.

And in place of the wooden hut is a magnificent white palace.

It is about change, the color of hope through which a new beginning is seen.

Robert J Dornan, or Bob, possesses an exquisite vitality of writing that seduced me.

The story certainly has originality, demonstrated by a magical fusion of talent and heightened emotion.

What Do Women Want From Men?

The first part.

What women want from men is exciting and complex. At the core of the debate is whether what women want is a matter of biological predisposition or a result of cultural or societal influences. To explore this question, we can consider the perspectives of both psychology and sociology.

In psychology, women want to feel desired, loved, and appreciated. Based on the notion that women are biologically programmed to seek out a mate who will provide them with protection, security, and emotional stability.

Ultimately, each woman will have her unique desires and preferences. However, in general, it is safe to say that women desire security, respect, trust, and a sense of belonging from their male partners—acts of kindness, support, and understanding on the part of the man. What women want from men depends on various factors.

Individuals must examine their priorities and decide what matters most to them.

It's important to remember that women, like men, have diverse and unique desires and preferences. Therefore, it is challenging to generalize what all women want from men.

However, we can mention some qualities and behaviors women appreciate in men.

Trustworthiness

A woman wants a man who is honest, reliable, and trustworthy. To keep his promises, to be transparent about his actions and intentions, and to be faithful in the relationship.

Honesty and dependability are desirable qualities in a man, making him more attractive to the opposite sex. When a man is truthful and genuine, people know they can rely on his words. Therefore, men who possess these qualities become much more appealing and worth pursuing.

"Trust is to human relationships what faith is to gospel living. It is the beginning place, the foundation upon which more can be built. Where trust is, love can flourish," says Barbara Smith.

Trustworthiness is essential in any successful, long-term relationship. This includes keeping promises, honesty, and fidelity. Both parties need to provide an atmosphere of reliability so that both partners can depend on each other.

Instinctively

The innocent child is unconcerned with the long and winding path

or the prospect of ever getting back home

the charm of life does not have a home

it only has an extra teddy bear

instincts are disciplined in this way

a ray of light connects two extinguished stars in the sky

a stuffed toy’s eyes twinkle with the starlight

that has touched every crevice of the uncharted universe

the mother bear has adopted a baby deer

An Unfinished Sculpture

Moments of silence were nestled in order

in my hand stuck to the ground

in the hand that wants to touch the clear sky

sat down as if it were a fleeting moment

for a brief moment

the rustles of a yellowed leaf sat down

sighs like an unfinished sculpture

a simple glimpse of the time

and the moments became more pressing than the years

The Butterfly Takes Flight

At night

it feeds on birdsong

with the back of my hand

I remove the tears of the extinguished stars

which blurs my vision

with the sand crumbs off chance

I suffocate the powerlessness that sleeps

in the hourglass of the abnormal sunset

the tentacles of instinct cling with fear

in the sunrise as a pale shade

I open my eyes

in the immensity of the surrounding void

the caterpillar is waiting to spread its wings

the eyes of the wings are like the sky

the butterfly takes flight

The Window of the Soul

Birds sit on my eyelids

allowing me to see the beauty of the earth's blooms

and the pounding of the air above them.

descend the miracle in the flowers of the earth

It's lovely to see flowers in every window

and even the coal mines have theirs open to the sky

This Isn't Just a Souvenir by Ki Hyun Park

This Isn't Just a Souvenir by Ki Hyun Park  (Author)

A book review by Brinas

The sun conquered the highest peak of the mountain, the emerald peak. From there, from the generosity of the infinite, it caresses the surroundings with jade rays from the sacred spring. The flow of water and time sculpt the world from sunrise to sunset. I hear the story of the wind and the rain, about the perfect shaping of faith.

The author asks himself questions about existential aspects. Evolution through the chaos. Chaos, order, progress, decadence, and revolution. It oscillates with a lot of fantasy, from a chance to a particular universal declaration to the special ordering of destiny.

The interest in maintaining order belongs to others. Control is achieved through the mental manipulation of masses of people.

A solid, consistent piece of work finished with a lot of creative detail and talent.

The main action of this book is generated by finding and keeping the beloved woman.

There are many symbolic reflections on the relationships and emotions brought about by interpersonal interactions as part of the search for the beloved woman. The original vision of ideas like love, existential philosophy, and freedom strengthens the action of this story.

Ki Hyun Park engages in a dance full of rituals, love, and talent, transforms into a light, and goes where darkness is born.

Golphino by Michelle Blower

 Golphino by Michelle Blower (Author)

A book review by Brinas

About the author

Michelle Blower
"Hello. You may not have heard of me before- or if you have, stop stalking me, that was a long time ago and it is time to move on. Seriously though, I am a writer (obviou....) with a BA in Literary Studies and a Doctoral Degree in Metaphysical Science.

I enjoy experimenting with prose, poetry and formulae. I want my writing to be genuine, meaningful, thought-provoking and a little bit funny. I hope to pull at the heart-strings and make them twang. I am not trying to follow a well-trodden path but to carve my own path. It is just something I do and I cannot undo it, you understand?

When I am not writing I am attempting dangerous DIY projects. Just this weekend I became glued to my attic floor whilst wrestling with evil expanding foam. And if anyone knows a plumber, please let me know... Bye."

I dance on the beach. The steps shape the sand through a conjuration of the imagination that resembles a sacred ritual.
The drawn woman rises from the sand, dives into the ocean water, and disappears between the waves.
My mind turns to the wonder of the sky and becomes a gull that flies until exhaustion. It rises from the sky, plunges into the ocean water, and disappears between the waves.
I choose the mysticism of the ocean and swimming among wild rocks. I dance with the women of the sky and fly with the gulls of the waters.
Orange time swallows the red ocean. The purple horizon kisses the yellow moon.
Now I know I am just a speck of color. A spot of color that only the woman who loves me can see.

Michelle writes about existence and love.
Feelings polished with creative emotion have a secret accord with talent and poetic sensitivity.

The author creates the world that he invites us to discover.
Love and love relationships have the sweet freedom to ignore mundane rules.
A disregard is born to break the so-called predetermined recipes.
We are talking about the freedom to choose what you feel you want.

Michelle does everything the way she wants.
And he does it well.

We are told how human malice and brutality strike honest and beautiful feelings. They are scattered on the ground like a star broken into pieces by the blood-stained light.
Michelle has the generosity to take care of these deep wounds patiently, transforming them into a collection to which she gives a name: “Golphino.”

I Made A Place For You by Damian White (Author), Francesco Orazzini (Illustrator)

I Made A Place For You

by Damian White (Author), Francesco Orazzini (Illustrator)
A book review by Brinas

About author

Damian White is a writer from Columbus, OH. He is the author of

the poetry book, I Made A Place For You, which is his debut collection.

After battling two bouts with homelessness, he channeled those

experiences into poetry as a way to heal a fractured identity.

When not writing, he can be found exploring art galleries, playing

tug-of-war with his pups, traveling, and finding the best coffee in

every city.

Damian received his B.A. in Sociology from Davidson College. He

currently resides in his hometown with his wife and stepchildren.

The hungry wolf crept out of the concealed cave. As with the creator's plan, attack with death claws.

Destiny hangs over the graveyard of mistaken steps like a gloomy cloud. The devil chuckles at the seed of anguish and stares at himself in the stone slab as if it were a diseased mirror.

The poet expels the infectious darkness from his imagination's spirit. With both hands on the sword of guilt, he spins it over his head, spreading light and calm around him.

It makes its way to the gates of heaven on its own path.

The author praises spirituality as an endless source of inspiration.

It shows us how words emerge from the flow of existence, the marvel of life. The refined phrases become buried amid the phantasms before erupting smoothly in a startling artwork.

After reading this book, I believe Damian White is both the poem and the poet.

I also address words of praise for the illustrator of the book.

Tower Road: Devotionals by Kaya Black.

 Tower Road: Devotionals

by Kaya Black.
A book review by Brinas.

About the Author.
Kaya Black reads books, writes words, and loves the Earth. A native of Selidor, she currently resides in Illinois. Tower Road is her book of devotional poems and dreams.

Kaya Black comes from a land where only dragons live, to tell people a story full of mystical symbols and rituals.

Tower Road: Devotionals is a collection of original poems. A search for realism in the fantasy of magic and an effort to understand the hidden magic in the labyrinth of reality.

Above the crashing waves, I soar on the wings of the birds as I look down from the summit of solidified lava.
Or, I count my steps on the beach when the sun goes down.
As a talisman, I have found a magical hourglass.

The wind is agitated by the amazement of time, the sand swirls, and my pulse darkens my imagination.
I switch on the candles in this pitch-black room.
See you.
It doesn’t matter that this hasty burning will destroy me.
I want to see you.
And to love you.
Just that.

From the book written by Kaya Black, metaphorical curiosity meets fantasy and ignites my imagination.

Seeing Voices: Poetry in Motion by Kelly Sargent

Seeing Voices: Poetry in Motion by Kelly Sargent

About the Author

"Kelly Sargent has loved languages in multiple forms since she was a child. Whether it be through written, spoken, or visual means, engaging with the desire we have to connect with each other and ourselves has been a lifelong endeavor.

Born hard of hearing and adopted in Luxembourg, she grew up with a deaf twin sister in Europe and the United States. She wrote for SIGNews, a national newspaper for the Deaf, and worked in educational settings with deaf students.

She is the author of a poetry chapbook entitled Seeing Voices: Poetry in Motion, a finalist in the Cordella Press Poetry Chapbook Contest and a 2022 Eric Hoffer Book Award nominee."

Kelly Sargent writes: "My twin sister was born in silence." She writes words that I will carry in my ears for the rest of my life, like some unseen earrings.

The author remembers her sister on cloudy, rainy afternoons during which they finger painted."My twin sister used to close her eyes to shut me up when we argued,” she writes."Memories aren't memories until they are recalled.”

A succession of feelings unleashed with a personal flair.

Expressive authenticity bursts from the wealth of poetic connections. With brilliant talent and sensitivity, the author lives the emotion together with her reader.

There is a personal nobility in Kelly’s ability to be shy and sincere at the same time. This overwhelmed me. When I resonated with the author and perceived her thoughts, I understood I was surrounded by unfamiliar feelings.

"Born deaf, her eyes were her ears," she writes. And: "my twin, my deaf mirror,"

I try to think in silence like one of the five senses. I try to think of silence as a necessity that you fall in love with and that accompanies you everywhere. I sit in front of the mirror to see how we look together. Me and the silence. My deaf mirror beckons me to quiet myself and simply love her.

Blue Ring Assassins by Stephen Cohen.

Blue Ring Assassins: Out of the ashes comes ruthless killers, by Stephen Cohen. Book 1 of 2.
Brinas Review

About Stephen Cohen

Born, Sutton-In-Ashfield, England.
Reading articles about the Second World War caught Stephen Cohen’s attention. Later, a simple curiosity and a TV show will turn into a passion and a source of inspiration for his books.
To feed this passion and to document himself as best as possible, the author will visit museums and places full of history in over fifty countries. This is impressive and says a lot about how Stephen prepared his books.
Stephen Cohen: “I love anything to do with World War II, well any kind of war history. But my other passion is music. I've written and produced many songs over the years, you'll find an EP on Amazon to go along with my novel, for a taste, watch the book promo which includes a clip of a song from the EP."

The book is historical fiction that adopts real events in an original style.

Walter Schellenberg is the officer responsible for running a new project, using prostitutes to gather information regarding foreign citizens and disloyal Germans. This action will take place in a brothel in Berlin.

After the bombing of Berlin, the central characters who escape from the ruins run away, take revenge, and learn more secrets, including those related to diamond shipments.

The women are contacted to be hired by the new masters.

A plethora of events in an alert story full of suspense and emotion.

One of the first things that caught my attention was that Stephen does not excel in the physical description of the characters. The author focuses on how the characters' actions make them feel in their inner lives.

I didn't find out whether Hannah was blonde or blue-eyed when she was twelve or eighteen.

Instead, you can easily understand that Hannah’s hair had the color of fear, her eyes had the color of anger, her eyebrows had the shape of insecurity, and the echoes of unanswered questions were drowning in her voice.

I don't think I'm exaggerating if I say that there were quite a few moments when, while reading, I imagined I was watching a film.

I discovered the complex and carefully polished imagination of Stephen Cohen. A demonstration of the authenticity of an expressive creation.

Exposed by Deborah Burris-Kitchen Ph.D. Brinas Review

About the author.

"I, Deborah J. Burris-Kitchen, Ph.D., am a Professor of Criminology and Department Chair at Tennessee State University in Nashville. I am also an activist who fights against violence, racism, exploitation, and greed."

Deborah: "I am a Wife, Mother, College Professor, Social Justice Advocate, Author, Triathlete, and Marathoner."

The collection begins with the poem "To be Short, Blonde, Female, and White."

A few words can only describe the physical appearance of a person.

A woman who painfully observes the behavior of the limited, ignorant, and prejudiced.

Equality and justice are uplifting values. Some people carry these values in their souls. If such a man had been your father, then you understood an essential part of our misunderstood world.

"Your actions taught me how to love everyone, and many times, without a word being spoken."  -Note to My Father-.

Abuse, violence, and mental and physical trauma are confronted head-on, ranging from an elevated and elegant approach to a justified revolt. Alcohol and rape set off a chain of bizarre events. And the inevitable tragedy that awaits as a turn of fate.

"My sister and  I  were born on  July  4th,  1960.  We were identical twins. We both weighed 2 pounds and 6 ounces. It was unusual for babies that small to survive back then. We were kept in an incubator for nearly three months. We were finally released from the hospital when we reached over 5 pounds. My mother tells us the story that she had to buy us doll clothes until we could finally fit into baby clothes. We both remained small for our age, but my sister more than I.”

Beginning with her first years in a community, the author and, especially, her sister were frequently the targets of dirty jokes, jokes made because of their small stature. Ironic looks. Smirking smiles. Later, the author discovered what disrespect, rejection, and stigmatization meant. In such a position, you can easily slip. You shut yourself up, blame fate, and try to sneak through life.

Deborah chose not to be silent. She understood that a hidden gem, covered by the dust of prejudices will never be reflected in a ray of light.

With intelligence, talent, and originality, Deborah built a pedestal, climbed on it, and from that height told us a story. Through a unique blend of sincerity, vitality, and elegance, words find their way into the hearts of readers in ways they never expected.

Those who understood this story thought about things they had not thought about until now. Only then is a book considered a success. When that book made you think about what the author wanted to convey to you.

The others, those who have not yet understood anything from this book, have become poorer. And much smaller.

With the Eyes of Heaven

Among the shards of darkness

My head is still resting on the bleeding stag's horns

as I continue to sleep

my eyes and hands go up

I see the light with the eyes of heaven

If fate doesn't dance for me

I dress in the aura of destiny

and sing and dance while I dream of the caress of the stars

whether it be days strangled by darkness

or nights energized by light

the world was created without my presence.

and it will perish with me

as I look around this world

the painting looks at me

and changes me into its shadows and tones

while we are both silents
